Look how @aubrymarie 🤩 utilizes the yoga strap to deepen her Dancer Pose 💃🏼! Check out this #Headstand prep action 🙌🏻! @Puresun_lover, thank you 💓💓💓 for posting these 🤸‍♀🏾 exercises. The right prep for headstand is the difference between falling 🍂 within a ⌛ second of holding the pose or staying still as a statue 🗽 for minutes 😆. - - Some exercises are even brand new to me 😲 and the wall🧗‍♀🏼 is my BFF during inversion prep! Liven it up with a 💗💗💗 Full Body Yoga Sequence! - - Today, yoga expert, 🤩 @Maryoscher,  demonstrates a quick, 5 minutes sequence to get your whole body feeling loosey-goosey 🤙🏻. - - 🖐🏼5 MINUTE FULL BODY STRETCH🖐🏼 . 🙌🏼Save this video for next time you need a quick stretch head to toe! . 🧘🏼‍♀️SEATED TWIST & CAT/COW: Sit comfortably & with a tall spine. Twist and gaze over the shoulder. For cat/cow: Pull the chest forward & squeeze shoulders onto the back. Then pull shoulders forward spreading apart the shoulder blades. Breathe and move slowly between poses! . 💕FORWARD FOLD & HALF LIFT: My go-to hammy stretch! Bend the knees if you need to. On the lift keep the back as flat as possible. Tailbone slightly lifts up & shoulders come onto the back lifting your heart. . ✨UPDOG or COBRA: Two options here! Find which one feels good for you or switch it up. Both poses focus on lengthening the neck, pulling the heart forward & squeezing shoulders onto the back! . 💗MOVING DOWN DOG: You can stretch a lot from this single pose! Bend one knee at a time to stretch the legs. Bend both knees & lift hips high to stretch the shoulders & arms. Lift one leg at a time to stretch legs & hips. Get creative here 😜 Move and breathe!! . 😁DEEP LUNGE & RUNNERS STRETCH: I like to try different arms in the deep lunge. Sometimes add a backbend too! Keep the front knee over ankle and if this bothers the lower knee, add a blanket for extra cushion! Runners stretch for the hammies! Use a block in both hands if you need some lift. Do you want to deepen your backbends? Help those quads and hip flexors lengthen! ❤️  @adellbridges shows great variations that stretch your hips even more. Tag your yogi friends for inspo! ⠀ I remember the first time I saw someone holding her ankles in full wheel pose, it struck me that it wasn’t her spine bending in half, but rather her hip extension was unreal! . . If you look at people with deep backbends you’ll usually see that their hip flexors (the muscles used to bring your knee towards your chest, the muscles that get tight from sitting down a lot) are super open. I realized that in my backbends, I was bending solely in the lumbar spine . . So I started working on opening my quads and hip flexors. And these are some of the things I did — I enhanced the already good stretch of poses such as bridge and low lunge, by bringing more active stretching into my quads, as shown .
