Shit day on bench today, 190kg for a few singles then some technique refining for paused reps. I've started benching a lot wider to try and help with shoulder rehab which I think is taking some adjusting to, the 190kg moved fast and easy enough but felt like shit. I don't care about benching 200kg or over I can do that now without to much drama, I just want a healthy shoulder and to nail my technique 😭 Also thanks to my cute boyfie @oscartdao For helping me fix my teqnique and for puting his balls in my face for my spot off, helps elevate my test levels 🤭 #thegrind #chestday #benchday #benchpress #worldgymipswich

I’m digging these pain cave sessions where all you can do is literally dig deep until it’s completed. I love challenging my body and KNOWING I’m not the fittest in the room, but pushing myself to try and keep up with the best (cough @laurentiffany__ cough). I really have no idea how to crossfit, but I love the intensity of the wods. Today I gave 20.1 a crack. It’s 10 rounds for time with a 15min time cap. This consisted of 8 ground to over heads and 10 bar facing burpees. I hit 9 full rounds + 3 reps into my 10th round. Proud, but not satisfied. Going to give it another crack and hopefully crack that bloody 10!😅 First video is right towards the very end, second video is at the very start.

Comp recap for Athlete @bradhale93 Crazy effort yesterday despite odds being stacked in his favour, Brad tied for 3rd place in a crazy lineup of lifters in the 100kg class. Brad has hardly trained in a mono-lift and squats are not allowed to be walked out, only sideways. Brad also competed in knee sleeves and still hung with the top lifters. On a day with really tough judging brad still came away with: Squat 265kg (10kgPR) Bench 170kg (equal PR) Deadlift 270kg (equal PR) Total 705kgs Brad had a 175kg bench taken off him which looked passable to me and also his second deadlift attempt which was 270kgs with “soft knees” We had no choice but to re attempt 270 and try to hang on to 3rd place, 270 went up again on the 3rd with the exact same knees but this time it was okay for some reason. Brad tied for third with another lifter but was 2kgs heavier so he just missed out. Hats off to brad, it takes a lot to go back out and pull the same lift you just failed especially when the podium is on the line #teamstrengthmafia #strengthmafia
