One thing that I’ve learned to love about my body during this journey are my shoulders and arms. I used to never wear tank tops, tube tops, any kind of tops that showed my shoulders because of my stretch marks. I hated them and would rather be really hot wearing a long sleeve shirt then wearing a tank top. I have always been so self conscious about it but I have learned to love them and now...I honestly don’t care! I walk around wearing whatever I want because I have worked my butt off for this body. Learning to love my body at each step of this journey has honestly been the most rewarding 💕 . . . . GREEN MORNING SMOOTHIE⁣ ⁣ Alkalizing⁣ 🥝 Nourishing⁣🍓 Revitalizing ⁣🥥 ⁣ I have been feeling a bit weighed down and stagnant lately. I have a feeling it’s from a combination of things: being more sedentary, too much hard-to-digest protein and too much caffeine and alcohol. ⁣ ⁣ Whenever I feel like I’ve overdone it I like to switch to more alkalizing foods to help balance my inner eco-system. Alkalizing foods help bring your blood back to normal Ph levels. Foods like coffee, alcohol and animal proteins can make your blood system more acidic. As much as I love a good cup of coffee, it’s not always great as the first thing in my belly on an empty stomach. ⁣ ⁣ I have been making this low-sugar green smoothie in the morning. I prefer to blend the veggies vs juicing them so I am not only getting all the vitamins, minerals and enzymes but I’m also getting the fiber, which is stripped during juicing.⁣ ⁣ In a high-powered blender, or even not so high powered, I use a nutri-bullet and it actually blends great. A little pulpy but doesn’t bother me. ⁣ ⁣ Combine: 1 stalk celery⁣ 1 cup of spinach⁣ 1 handful parsley⁣ 1 piece of ginger⁣ 1/4-1/2 lemon⁣ 1/2 apple ⁣ 1/2 scoop protein powder⁣ 1 scoop pre-biotic supplement⁣ water or unsweetened iced tea⁣ ⁣ You can also add other veggies or spices like:⁣ 1/2 cucumber⁣ handful of cilantro⁣ Avocado 1/2 lime⁣ turmeric⁣ cayenne⁣ ⁣ I don’t recommend adding a ton of fruit as it can becomes too high in sugar. Today's food 🥗🍔🍟🍧 - HEB, ½ HEA + 3 syns for all of it 😍 . . Lunch was a messy ham and egg salad (1 syn for LTL mayo) . . Tea was a burger and chips, burger was aldi 5% fat beef burger seasoned with @jdseasonings burger blend, HEB roll, topped with fried mushrooms and onions, cheese slice, gherkin and lettuce, tbsp LTL mayo, chips seasoned with JD chips and wedges, (HEB, ½ HEA + 1 syn) . . . pudding was strawberry mousse, the recipe I used made 8 of the GU ramekins and is only 1½ syns for all 8! So not even ¼ of a syn each, I'm going to add all 8 to my syns for the day, even though I won't eat all 8!
