Here’s a back profile that I desperately want to change my dec 2019. I’ve been eating horrible to say the least lol.. cookies, cupcakes, cake, Mac and cheese, fried chicken, Taco Bell, McDonald’s allat.. and my weight is at 206.9 it could be under 200 if i stayed on track.. that stuff didn’t make me feel as good as this walk I finally took today. Just a little bit of pendlay rows along with a quick life update: So post powerlifting meet I’m now out in Tennessee for the next month. Training isn’t my top priority, mostly just having all around fitness, doing a little rehab work, cardio, and experiencing Tennessee. With that being said I’m still making an effort to maintain my weight and strength while I’m here. I found a mice little gym in the area and it’s got everything. Easily the nicest gym I’ve been to (aside from my home gym) but it’s nice to experience what it’s like at a commercial gym instead of being isolated in my garage. Gonna try to post some more during this next month but it probably won’t be that exciting since I’m not going for heavy singles or wot that nature. Maybe I’ll switch it up and post videos of different training styles/workouts? This looks like just another food pic, but it’s actually a really cool NSV for me. Tonight I had dinner with a friend and it was one of those restaurant week things, where all the participating restaurants offer a prix fixe menu and you get an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. Everything is usually smaller portions than normal, so it’s actually really great if you’re watching what you eat, but tonight’s dinner was disappointing. The burrata salad was excellent, but the meal was just okay and the dessert was way lame. It was supposed to be a mini fruit tart but it was just berries in an empty, mini pie crust, and the crust wasn’t even tasty 😭. Normally I would have eaten it anyway, because I feel like if I paid for it, I’m going to eat it, but instead I just ate the berries. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The #nsv is that when I got home, instead of sitting on the couch with whatever snack I could find because I was unhappy with my meal, I cleaned up a little, I did some laundry, I got some food prep done for the week, and I didn’t feel the need to scrounge around and find some other food thing to make me happy because I was unhappy with my meal. I just thought, well, it was a lesson not to go there again during restaurant week and I’m moving on from it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And moving around a little bit after eating made me feel a lot better than just sitting like a lump on the couch. Better late than never but here is Day 2: legs and shoulders. Didn’t feel good at all today but couldn’t give up on day two. I decided to keep it light instead and dam did I get winded with these 60-90 second rests. I used to order just a glass of water when dining out.... - I'd open the menu and glaze over in sadness as I looked at everything I thought I "couldn't have". Everyone would order, the food would come, it all looked amazing and there I was...with my sad glass of water. - I thought I was doing the diet thing right. - In reality, all I was really doing is creating a negative relationship with food. I was looking at food only for pleasure. I ate based off my emotions too often and I saw food more of a punishment or reward. - The more clients I work with, I realize I'm not the only person to fall into this mindset. - Stop 👏 this 👏 - Food is FUEL! It's not a punishment nor a reward. LOOK at the menu, pick better options and don't be afraid to ask how your food is prepared. Are there added oils, are things cooked in butter, can you opt for steamed veggies with your steak rather than fried onion rings? - Eat to feel good! Not to waddle out to the car and wonder why you let yourself do "that" again. Eat for a lifestyle, not a diet. - Hubby wanted to stop after shuttles today for a burger. So he got one, I got this HUGE steak salad loaded with veggies, no cheese or dressing (I don't care for it, never have). Went for steak over chicken, that protein is still a no go on my gut. It was perfect & sooo delicious!
