Week 5 Day 1 (28/82) How many of you have experienced the people around you saying what you used to do was completely fine (and it was encouraged) even if in the back of your mind you know it wasnt the best? Then when you start changing things up and making healthier choices (no matter what they are) you get some backlash from those around you? Now looking back on things years after I can see that most of that "backlash" was from people who wanted to keep doing what they were doing, that me making changes meant that they didnt have their buddy to go along with and to make their choices seem like they were good ones since they had others doing it with them, so they voiced their "concerns" because they wanted things to stay as they were (change is hard!). Just know that if what you're embarking on is medically safe (actually getting it cleared by your Dr and not Google 🙈) and is going to serve you well mentally and physically then go for it! Streven naar perfectie is streven naar falen, net zoals jezelf vergelijken met anderen nutteloos is omdat je het voor je gevoel toch nooit goed goed genoeg doet. Iets wat mijn vriend regelmatig tegen mij zegt, herkenbaar? Ik ben enorm perfectionistisch, wat er voor zorgt dat ik heel erg kan balen wanneer iets me niet lukt (met als resultaat opgeven '' want het lukt toch niet''). Wat super zonde is, vaak boek ik namelijk wel resultaat, groei ik en werk ik naar iets toe wat ik niet altijd zie. Langzaam aan begin ik te leren dat vallen en opstaan hoort bij het proces, welk proces je ook in zit.. Je zal nooit in 1 rechte lijn naar je doel toe gaan. Ik probeer voortaan te genieten van het proces, te leren van het vallen.. Maar me ook meer te focussen op de stappen die ik wel goed zet.
