The day I dreaded happened. I got stuck in traffic on my way home from #nashville and missed some stuff for the kids. #workingmomproblems Here I am with my wallet in my lap...trying to order the kids’ school photos over the phone (photographer would only be there until 5:30) while all the cars were at a complete stop. We picked out weeds, planted flowers 💐 , helped put mulch on fruit trees 🌳, got to taste some sweet peas 😋⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ I didn’t feel sore from yesterday’s workout throughout the day. It wasn’t until I got home that I was physically drained but was super happy that I could lay down and take it easy since it’s my rest day! 😃⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ For a moment I thought about putting in a small workout but why over do it..? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Remember that your muscles need to recover from the micro damage done to the fibers and therefore resting allows that to happen! ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Lower Body Warm Up Moves! - What’s up, Achievers?! @jasonlpak here with a c-c-c-combobreaker! Just kidding - just a few combo moves you can use to warm up your lower body :) - 1️⃣Toe Touch to Squat: Stand with your feet about shoulder width apart. Perform a forward fold and reach for your toes. From there, try to grab onto your forefoot and use it as leverage to pull yourself into a squat position. Push your knees out with your elbows and get your chest up tall. Perform about 5-6 repetitions. If you have a tough time deep squatting, your can flare your feet out more or you can also squat down with your heels elevated. 2️⃣Lateral Lunge to Crossover Lunge: Lunge laterally off to the side with your right leg, and then lunge diagonally forward with that same right leg so that it crosses over your midline. Perform about 4-5 reps each side. If the transition is too difficult, just break the move up into 4 lateral lunges and 4 crossover lunges each side! 3️⃣Knee Hug to Single Leg Deadlift: Stand up tall and hug your right knee towards your chest (make sure your right toes are pulled up towards your shin). From there, let go of your right leg and extend it back behind you, let your torso lean forward with your left leg slightly bent, and reach in front of you with your arms. Perform about 5-6 reps each side. - These moves mobilize your hips from all different directions, and incorporates functional positions that can really assist with any lower body workout you perform! One week left to my March workout routine and I am still loving the mix of workouts. I think moving into April I am going to continue doing the weight lifting program (it's just 4 days a week) and use the other days to get back to running to prepare for another 5K. 👽 SISTER SISTER 💖 I was on a break from lifting, buuuuuuut I couldn’t take it anymore. I need to train to stay sane. And I convinced my older sister to join me today! I love being able to share my gym time with my beautiful sisters.
