We can bring mindfulness to our thoughts and emotions of fear, sadness, happiness, excitement, grief , etc Today, I challenge you to meet each experience with a kind, compassionate and clear presence neither judging nor resisting what is happening. What does this emotion feel like in your body? Where do you feel it most strongly? If you we could see it, how big would it be? Is it moving or static? As you pay close attention, notice how the emotion changes? Is it intensifying, weakening or subsiding? Does it change into a different state such as anger to grief, happiness to peace etc? Last week of #mentalhealthawarenessmonth and let me tell you my gratitude level is high right now! Gratefulness doesn’t come easy every day but if we can find something to be grateful for in each day it is a success. Today I am grateful for having a secure job in these times, I’m grateful for my health, I’m grateful that I have an old but beautiful sanctuary to get away to on the weekends, I am mainly thankful for my family. My sisters support and love me no matter what. My mom is the most selfless woman I know. My dad is tough and has taught me to live my own life.
