Determination and allowing...! What a week...I feel like some of my biggest issues have come up for final showdown and it’s a balance of both that’s helping me through: Determination to take care of myself each step of the process and allowing myself to be tired if I’m tired; allowing myself to anxious if I’m anxious; allowing what comes up to teach me more about my past experiences and how they affect me now and how that is really really shifting in great and amazing ways...just hang in there baby... everything you’ve worked for is coming into bloom!

Like maybe the world will end if you take 15 minutes extra for meditation, a hot bath, or just a walk by yourself to clear your head? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Who does she think she is, with all of the Self Care? She's a woman who knows how to master her frequency. She's a woman who knows her worth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I started carving out short but STRICT morning rituals, I felt better, I functioned more fully, I loved more deeply, and I swear I created more hours in the day (Thank you GOD for the miracles of Kundalini yoga)! 💎 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I fought the burnout to get up a few minutes earlier, even if somedays all I did was sit there. A few days ago I watched a Netflix Documentary called Heal by @kellygores. This documentary explores the science and spirituality behind the body's remarkable ability to #Heal. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It also describes how disease and Inflammation are highly related to stress and negative emotions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The inflammatory response (inflammation) occurs when tissues are injured by bacteria, trauma, toxins, heat, or any other cause. It’s been a while since I posted last. _ Last week my mom had a hysterectomy and colon surgery. She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer last November, and it’s certainly been a journey. I’m happy to say that after the surgery the cancer is eliminated in her colon. Just one more surgery to go in her liver. She’s been so strong in all this; she’s a beautiful inspiration. _ Through her journey my mom and I have been embarking on a project to create a cookbook of Ghanian recipes. Since this is philosophy, we have the ability to expand. Let’s see what happens when we add just a couple of words to it. First: positive. I think positively, therefore I am positive. Pretty neat. How about adventurous. I think adventurously, therefore I am adventurous. That’s pretty good. Let’s try negative now. I think negatively, therefore I am negative. That’s not a good one. Are you seeing what is happening in these examples? We are taking what on it’s face is just a philosophical quote and changing it to show the actual power of your mindset. If you want to be positive, you think positively and you become positive. Conversely, if you think negative thoughts you become negative. The mind is incredibly powerful.
