Fitness journey is more than just losing weight or making physical changes. . It encompasses the mental growth that occurs which FAR OUTWEIGHS any physical transformation. . The habits that you develop that foster discipline. . The wins that you achieve by being able to say NO to the foods/habits that you once thought you didn’t have the willpower or strength to overcome. . One question I get asked all the time is when should I do cardio?⁣⁣ 🤔 . The general rule I give to people is to prioritise your main goal.⁣⁣⠀ . Well the first thing to say is no amount of cardio will result in fat loss if you're eating too many calories. If you want to lose fat, then your main focus should be on creating a calorie deficit through your diet. ⁣ . For fat loss, I would advise your do cardio second, as strength training will preserve your muscle tissue much better when you are in a calorie deficit.⁣⁣⠀ . And if you're preserving muscle tissue, then you know that all the weight you are losing is FAT! The stuff we want to lose!
