Today I’m spending the entire day relaxing and recharging! (Guilt-Free) Lately I’ve been feeling pretty flat and burnt out with a to-do-list that is ever growing and never ending. Being a mama of two and an entrepreneur I don’t always get to have or allow myself enough “me time”. I am very much a melancholic personality type and the way I recharge is by having space and time to be alone... this is pretty hard to do with little ones around as you can imagine! To my fellow Mamas & Girl Bosses... our roles are hard, our days are long and exhausting and we give our children and our projects more energy and time than what we could have ever predicted or imagined possible. We give, give, give and push, push, push all day, everyday and somehow we still never feel like we’ve done a good enough job or achieved enough to feel successful. THIS NEEDS TO STOP! Please don’t allow yourself to get to breaking point like I have before you realise that this life is actually meant to be fun and enjoyable! YOU choose your reality, YOU choose how you want to spend your days. I am personally making a commitment to change the way my days unfold. If you think 💭 your gut has nothing to do with your hormones you have it all wrong‼️ Your adult acne, PMS, headaches, anxiety, fatigue, or inability to lose weight all have to do with the health of your gut. You can eat right, drink green smoothies, and all the kombucha in the world, but if you’re not absorbing the nutrients, your hormones aren’t getting the fuel they need to thrive. That was me! Whew, hey! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted on this account. I have been incredibly (& wonderfully) busy since the beginning of this year. I had the opportunity to cook a weekly meal for a Reversing Diabetes class for 40 people over the past six weeks, and it was awesome to be a part of! So when Saturdays rolled around, I had to force myself to rest up rather than fill the day with cooking + styling + blogging so I wouldn’t get burnt out. This ever happen to anyone else? Well it starts with improving the way we eat and take care of ourselves.⁣ ⠀ PCOS is 100% manageable with the right diet and self care (my clients and I are living proof, but so is the science).
