Ce soir, session bras 💪 de 4 tours en 30/30 sur 6 exercices. J'ai changé un exercice et fais à la place un overhead extension. Tellement de courbatures sur le bas du corps de mon PDC d'hier, qu'il m'était impossible de faire mon PDC du jour aujourd'hui. Here’s a lil inspirational Sunday for you. . . @ronald.martinez.378 just starting coming to the dungeon a few weeks ago pretty much starting from scratch after having bone cancer. He was pretty fragile in the beginning and in just a few weeks this guy is getting stronger and faster. He already hit a PR of 199 on the airdyne-that’s very impressive. Currently has metal rods in his legs. That’s why his new name is the MAN OF STEEL. . . I’m already driven by people who are limited and beat the odds through commitment and patience. It’s always easy to get complacent and then comes the Ronnie’s and fuck shit up. Hello and welcome back to my channel! It’s been ages! (Okay really welcome back I missed u) Today we’re talking about why it’s okay not to be like every Instagram influencer you see bc 1- most of it is fake & 2- there’s a lot of uneducated health influencers that tell y’all the wrong thing!! When I first started following health influencers, I reallllly struggled with trying to not be their shadow. If they cut out a certain food, I would. If they did a certain workout split, I would. If they said not working out every day would make you lose all of your progress, I’d go workout every day so I “wouldn’t lose progress.” See where this becomes an issue? Everyone is EXTREMELY different. Food allergens/intolerances, social life, career, school, etc., and all of those factors and more go into what works best for THEM! For example, I tried counting macros and calories bc everyone seems to, but guess what, it made me even more sad and defeated because I couldn’t meet my daily requirements every day, and I also was eating foods I hated!!!! Another reason it’s bad to do things bc an influencer says so, is bc most don’t have a degree/certification in these areas. While it’s becoming more normal to have one now, many people do not and still give out nutrition plans (which is actually illegal is you aren’t an RD!) and workout plans which may not have proper progressions/are so cookie cutter that they may lead to injury! So next time you buy into what an influencer says, ask yourself “Do I have the amount of time that they do to complete this?” And “ARE. THEY. The work to rest ratio, which means, under any circumstances, your rest time should be either equal to workout time or your rest time should be more than your workout time. Otherwise, you’ll hurt your athlete or client. 2. HIIT doesn’t mean you kill your client or athlete. It means with the right programming; you build work capacity and strength. 3. You better target the whole body with their patterns. Squat-Pull, Hinge-Push, Lunge-Rotation plus power, core, and mobility. 4. It’s not about being cool, get some likes, or gain followers. You are a coach. People trust you to move better and feel better. 5. Sweat is not a sign of a good workout.
