Again I realized how addicted I am to sunshine and sport😜. And yesterday was ONE of these days, when my addictions were satisfied😂. My comeback to this group of fit mums was amazing. #throwbackthursday to that time I went to Indy with these girls, because it’s almost spring break and I need a vacation 😂 Even though we’re not going anywhere, it’s exciting to think about past and future trips I have planned because of coaching that I never would’ve been able to do! This summer I’ll be going back to Indy for our big annual conference. It’s such an amazing city, and I love it there 🏙 Going to Disneyworld in November with some girls on our team for our race🏃‍♀️And then I can’t forget about taking Josh to Punta Cana in March for a trip that I earned! The latest thing coming down the pipes is a trip to Los Angeles for a leadership retreat next year🤗 So many wonderful places and new experiences that I can’t wait to have. New memories to make with wonderful ladies who inspire me and lift me up 👯‍♀️ Remembering that even though I’m a mom and wife, it’s ok to have dreams and aspirations that are just for me (although they also benefit my family). It’s a rare day that I get to dress up, do my hair and makeup, and be with these strong women. Before I fell pregnant with Chase (yes is my favorite way to talk about becoming pregnant), I was in REALLY good running shape. Now, without diminishing my ability, I want to be full disclosure here. I started running in 2009. I signed up for a 10k and trained with a friend then we did a half marathon. My only goal was to not walk, I walked. After that I really only ran when I signed up for a race. I enjoyed races and it was an easy goal to focus on. ⠀ ⠀ Literally, the day before I took a pregnancy test, I had run the fastest 5k I had ever run. And placed in the top 5 for my age group. I don’t remember the time but I think it was around 8:40min miles. I only say this because I am NOT an expert in running. If running is your favorite form of exercise and you know your body well, then listen to your body! Train how you like to train, but be in tune with your body and how it is adjusting back to running. Our bodies have been through a lot and it might not be like riding a bike. ⠀ ⠀ If you are unsure about how to start back into a running routine, here are some suggestions. Start with short distances. Try some sprints with some nice long breaks in between. Check in with your pelvic floor and core after each interval. Does your pelvic floor feel fatigued? How does your lower back and hips feel? How about your core? Gradually increase the time you spend running. Take walking breaks to check in with your body, asking yourself the above questions. ⠀ ⠀ I would also suggest incorporating a full body strength routine into your weekly routines. Keeping your legs, core and upper body strong is going to be key to keep injury away. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and continuing to fuel your body. ⠀ ⠀ Are you a runner? Do you have any races you are looking forward to? ⠀ ⠀ I am thinking about doing the Mankato Marathon Relay with some local Mamas. 8k distance is one of my favorites!

So proud of my client Nickie for shedding over 30 lbs in 3 months! She showed up, worked hard and crushed her goals! Here what she had to say: I began working with Chitra in October 2018. Before that I had tried kickboxing classes and random food restrictions. Chitra quickly discovered my competitive edge and tapped into it.
