So to explain a bit about my design approach and what thought processes inform my decisions. Sustainability is a big key driver for me. So when figuring out my packaging options, using a local family run Tauranga based cardboard supplier was a natural fit. Their cardboard is made in NZ and with a recycled content already in it. Recycled and recycable packaging. During the preparation of Matt Cameron’s Ruby Moon, I sought specialist help in treating a very obvious bald patch forming in the middle of my head. My sister suggested it was coming from the stress of rehearsals. I said it couldn’t be. I was happy, slept well, and left work at work. Shortly after the end of the run, my hair grew back. What I didn’t take into account, was the stress my CHARACTERS were going through. 🤯 The play dealt with the issue of missing children, and how parents cope with that trauma. Heavy stuff. Parsnips prepared this way have a consistency similar to potatoes and they taste great. I swap croutons for salted pumpkin seeds.
