Also, make sure your feet are stacked on top of each other for maximum core engagement. Pose progress!! The poses/asana we do in yoga to me is another form of those "tools" that I chat about. Yoga is far far away from being about the pose or asana we move through, but can be seen as a tool aiding us in our "movement meditation". Our asana helps us focus the mind and body, connect to ourselves and draw inwards to a better understanding of ourselves and our dharma (purpose). However, ever now and again we do have small victories!! The progress we see in our asana can be viewed as a reflection of the progress we have made forwards in our journey or self connection, wider understanding and our dharma. A demonstration of our willpower, our commitment and our strength but also the peace that comes with it. The more we let ourselves fail with grace and move forwards with conviction, strength and purpose the more we find peace. I found a little victory today!
