Along with all the other changes going on at WW, we have a new class starting on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 6.15am, focussing exclusively on CORE CONDITIONING. The core is the most important muscle group in the body. It is your base of support, it powers all your movements and is the cornerstone to taking your workouts to the next level. In this class we will be focusing on more than just your stomach, but the entire area between your chest and your knees. We will be working on the trunk, glutes, hips and all the abdominal muscles (especially those deeper ones that are harder to activate) to create balance, awareness, stability and strength. With a stronger core you will notice a significant improvement in your overall strength. You will find yourself running faster, squatting lower, jumping higher, standing straighter and breathing deeper. A strong core prevents and alleviates back pain and brings symmetry to the whole body.

CORE CHALLENGE . . . We are practicing a simple 10-count hold followed by 10 pulses. Make sure you engage core by wrapping your torso and drawing upper, middle and lower abs up and in towards your spine, but do this to an extent that allows you to breathe and doesn’t compromise your posture. I decided to hang upside down with the ancient maple again today 💕 I’m getting a lot better at using the wheel and occasionally I can feel myself lift right off.
