Yesterday’s session was 2 x (3x300, 2x400, 1x800) with 70-second recovery for the reps and 4 minutes between the sets. Here we are setting off on our reps, and then standing, shell-shocked, between sets 😀🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️. It’s so funny how my feelings about distances change depending on how warmed up / tired I am; In the first set, the 300s felt so tough ‘THIS IS TOO FAST FOR ME’, my legs screamed 😀, by the 400s I was kind of getting into it, and then I loved the 800 – I felt I had more time to get into a rhythm, and also I was running in group of three, which is a real help. On the second set, it was a shock to the system again setting off on the 300s, but it was when we got to the 400s that I began to die – that last 100 was JUST TOO FAR! I only managed to get through them by thinking of the nice 800 to come. And I enjoyed that! Again, managed to get into a rhythm and a group and I think I even sped up a bit on the second lap. Jogged over to the session, did a group warm up, drills, the session, short group cool down – and then jogged off with @kyomi07 (we were having dinner with my sister).
