This is a TOUGH push-up variation. You need a low-friction board (like a Lynx board) with a small pad, or you can DIY it with a mat and a folded towel. While I carefully lower my body, I allow one hand to slide forward. As soon as I've lightly touched the ground, I push down hard with the stationary hand to bring myself back up. You have to use your core to stabilise your torso - this happens any time you do a single arm/leg movement. It's a difficult movement, but it's worth mastering it - when you do, regular push ups will feel super easy and your core will be rock solid. Want to develop the horseshoe of your triceps? . This is a reverse grip bodyweight tricep extension and it will hammer that area. . I'm using an NTLoop band from @nick_tumminello - great piece of equipment for this because it stretches but only to a certain point, allowing you to stop the movement at the bottom and get a good stretch on the triceps. . Can see more at NTLoop.com. . This solves the problem of grip strength that you'll get with reverse grip pushdowns. The hand keeps wanting to open up, limiting weight and reps. . This turns the exercise into a push where grip is not an issue. You can do as much as your triceps can take, not how much your grip can take. . Do these kneeling - you don't need full bodyweight for these. . Just loop the band over a rack rail and put your wrists through the loops, palms up. Make fists to solidify the hands. .
