Oh my quads. Shoulders still sore from yesterday and what do you know more work with them and more push ups. Better for me for results. Only half a smile tonight cause it was hard. Good feelings afterwards though. Keep pushing. Week 5 is going strong. Let’s keep it up.

Today my trainer led a silent workout. Only saying “next” for the next move. Most people seem to find that they really liked this, and were able to find motivation from within themselves to push harder. I’ve got to be honest... I really DIDN’T like it. I kept looking at the screen to make sure I was doing it right, and the time seemed like it was going so slow! My first transformer number was really low, which did help me push harder on the other two, but still not the progress I expected to see. It did teach me a lesson. I depend too much on that voice to push me harder, when I need to be listening to my own voice. Added to my list of things to work on! ✔️ Tomorrow’s a new day, a clean slate, a new frame of mind! Day 3 of going to the gym consistently and I’m just going to say ... IVE MISSED IT SOOO BAD!!! Yes I know it’s only 3 days but y’all I’ve struggled so hard this past year. I’ve been doing Transform 20 and I love it but I felt like I needed more sooo I got my butt back in the gym! I still struggle with the thought of not being good enough to reach my goals, that I’m not deserving enough ... which is one of the reasons I quit putting myself first and I quit loving myself and my body. I put all of my goals and dreams on the back burner. I fell into a depression that I wasn’t good enough and that no matter how hard I tried I wouldn’t reach my goals ... y’all the devil exist and he’s sabotaging ALL of us. I. AM. GOOD. ENOUGH. We are ALL good enough. I will reach my goals and I won’t do it alone. I have the best support system and these are just two of them! FIND your Accountability 🙌🏼 find yourself someone who is going to hold you accountable and make sure you SHOW up even when you’re too tired or don’t feel like it or any other excuse under the sun. Those are the days you GO and you push harder!! So thank you to everyone who has encouraged me, pushed me, and motivated me ... because of you I will love myself again. Because of you I will be happy again. And because of you I will make a difference. What’s holding you back in life from doing the things you want to do? Today is National Handcuff Day 🔗 . . Holistic Living 365 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY . . So full disclosure: I HATE working out! My yoga is more for meditation. Mindful movements, deep breathing, restorative yoga. To me, yoga is less of a workout and more about balancing my mind, my life, & reducing my stress levels. You will rarely find me in a power flow or vinyasa based class. And as a Holistic Nutritionist, I understand that food plays a HUGE role in our health, moreso than exercise. Although, they are pretty close! However, I realized I’ve been using that as an excuse to avoid “working out”! . . If I’m working with a client who’s dealing with high blood pressure or heart conditions - “working out” may very well be taking a 30min walk each day. Studies have shown that, along with a healthy diet, that simple walk can improve things dramatically. For someone like me however, who’s a little overweight - I can clean up my diet and see good results, but at some point I have to push through my boundaries and put in a little work! . . Whatever your fitness goals are, it’s important you find something you ENJOY. If you hate running on a treadmill (or at all), don’t do it! It will be counterproductive on a physical, metabolic, & emotional level. Try new things. Find what works for you. Working out should be fun and rewarding, not meant as punishment for that burger and fries you ate at lunch! . .
