Do you snack? . I’m pretty terrible at eating actual meals during the day when I’m at work. I like to sleep in, aim to eat some breakfast as soon as I get to work but often it ends up 1pm before I get to eat anything #intermittentfasting jokes! . Once I felt like having a massive cry at work. And I knew the things that made me want to cry weren’t logically THAT bad. Then I realised I hadn’t eaten yet that day. So got out my breakfast, and the world became more okay. . Snickers were onto something when they said you’re not you when you’re hungry #hangry. . When I was obsessed with working out (and dieting) I’d try to workout while hungry. Eventually I was part of a workout group where the trainers sister was a dietitian and she challenged us to post photos of our afternoon snack to the group. And she posted some photos of her jam toast. That kinda blew my mind at the time. So I tried intentionallysnacking that week and surprise surprise- discovered I could workout way harder and better than with no snack! . This is my quick snack this afternoon. To keep me going till my after school snack. . I’m not saying you SHOULD snack. Do whatever works for you! Meal Prep Week 2! Apparently doing 2 hours of Zumba is the inspiration I need to kill it at #mealprep. Had leftover protein from meal prep last week, so I redistributed it into meals today. Disclaimer: be careful with how long you keep meat around. I like to live on the edge so...🤷‍♀️ This week will be busy but fun so my meals were inspired by that fun. My favorite breakfast for this week is Strawberry, banana, maple yogurt waffles. Mix up nonfat greek yogurt and a bit of maple syrup and you've got a delicious low sugar topping for waffles! Mexican style vegan buddha bowl... Black beans with Kale - 1 diced onion and a few handfuls of finely chopped kale fried off in a splash of water. Add a tin of black beans, 2 veggie stock cubes, cumin, smoked paprika and garlic granules in a large pan. Cover entirely in boiling water and let reduce. Broccoli, edamame beans, peas, brown rice, sweetcorn, young kale salad and cool tomato salsa (pre made from Sainsburys because I was being lazy). One of my all time favourite meals 👌🏻
