Saw this and felt like I HAD to share it via @repostapp courtesy of @10000vinyl . Back in the dim dark days of #grunge , Pearl Jam , Nirvana there was a definite #Seattle #movement . I am not sure that the great #JeffBuckley was from that area in an era when #rock seemed to veer into an entirely new direction - this #blues #guitarist with a #voice as #dynamic as a thousand #angels left everyone mesmerised with one particular cover . It was called #Hallelujah. Written by #LeonardCohen it reached an entire new generation and won over millions . The title track #Grace is a ripper , and #TheLastGoodbye is just one that pretty much defies description. I honestly can't think of one - the power is like a freight train , the #passion - you could stop a ship with it , the guitar - seriously - I would bet that both Page and Plant considered this #topshelf #finesse . I have seen many of his concerts in days gone by ( on video ) and his #prowess was #sublime . #Grace left everybody in awe and when he played Brisbane - there was not one bad review I heard . NOT ONE . There never was an Australian lp of this as vinyl was supposedly "inferior " to the technology of compact discs !! But at least in Australia a CD tour edition was released with a bonus single . ( I don't have one so save yourself the trouble - and I believe that the Estate of the late #JeffBuckley does not like them on EBay ) . The #purple #vinyl to me looks amazing . Mind you - I do have a copy of his Australian Grace video on VHS in the jacket . Like many music fans - when #JeffBuckley disappeared a horrid feeling arose and you could only hope . When we learnt of his untimely passing - albeit with just this one studio album - you knew one of the truly incredible musical craftsmen had left , leaving behind a #numbing #tapestry of #perfection . #Neverforgotten .
